Features
PC BAR is manufactured basically in accordance with
KS D 3505 or JIS G 3109-1988
Characteristics are as follows:
Superior yield ratio
It has more than 90% yield ratio much higher than 80% that is required by pc
steel bar.
Bond properties
PC BAR, with 3 to 6 spiral grooves on its surface, has characterstic of good
bond which gives powerful adhesion that is incomparable to average tension bar.
Low relaxation
The relaxation loss which is the reduction in load within concrete after prestress
in normal room temperature is under 1.5% in 10hours and under 4% in long term.
Exceptional straightness
PC BAR is wound in a coil within the elastic limit of Steel. When it is uncoiled,
it straightens itself. So there is on need for any straightening process.
Excellent spot-welding
The application of spot weld cage forming is used widely for poles and piles
in korea and other countries, and achieved high productivity. By use of cage
forming machine under appropriate welding procedure the decrease of PC BAR's
mechanical properties after spot welding is very small.
